Nabila is a Consultant Cardiologist and a specialist in cardiac imaging. Having trained at Europe’s largest heart centre (St. Bartholomew’s Hospital in London), she has become a renowned expert in all aspects of echocardiography. She sits on the British Heart Valve Council, and has also completed an advanced fellowship in cardiac CT.
She is passionate about identifying and helping people with structural heart disease, leading community screening initiatives to improve access to echo diagnostics and is pursuing her MD(Res) in this field. She is a dedicated educator, creating online Cardiology tutorials for clinicians and patients alike, and has delivered Heart Valve Disease training on behalf of Global Heart Hub – an international non-profit organisation for supporting people affected by heart disease. Her work in this area has been recognised in UK Parliament, where she has personally addressed MPs to advocate for earlier detection and improved care for people with heart disease.
She has a unique ability to understand how your heart works at the bedside, and will always explain - simply and clearly - how best to look after it.

Syed is a Consultant Cardiologist with over 20 years’ experience, and is one of the UK’s leading Heart Rhythm Specialists. Having qualified from Guy’s, King’s and St. Thomas’ Medical School in 2000, he trained in several prestigious centres of excellence (including The Royal Brompton and Great Ormond Street Hospitals) and was subsequently appointed at Europe’s largest cardiac hospital: St. Bartholomew’s in London.
Syed is experienced with all aspects of cardiovascular disease, and has subspeciality qualifications in the treatment of heart rhythm disorders (Electrophysiology). He continues to lead clinical trials on the management of atrial fibrillation, and is a renowned expert on cardiac devices, including the implantation of pacemakers, implantable cardioverter defibrillators, and cardiac resynchronisation devices.
In addition to his work with EchoMed, Syed is director of the London Heart Centre, and is proud to offer patients the option of consultations and procedures across both Surrey and London.

Ronke is a Consultant Cardiologist with a special interest in cardiac imaging. She is accredited in all aspects of echocardiography, and is also an expert in cardiac MRI.
She completed her training at St. Bartholomew's hospital, contributing to the world's largest cardiac MRI unit. Her academic work includes a PhD examining the effects of chemotherapy on the heart, and she has also published on image acquisition in patients with cardiac devices, as well as non-invasive diagnostics in women with heart failure. She has presented her work at numerous international meetings, including the World Congress on Heart Failure, EACVI, and EuroCMR.
Ronke is also committed to medical education, delivering interactive teaching sessions on echocardiography for Junior Doctors and Physiologists.

Edd is an accredited expert in Echocardiography, and has a special interest in heart rhythm disorders and cardiac imaging. After starting EchoMed in 2022, the following year he was delighted to lead the Team to the ‘Start-up Business of the Year’ award from the FSB (South East), and also ‘Best New Business’ at the Surrey Business Awards.
Academically, he has published a broad body of research, and has presented work internationally on subjects including cardiac ultrasound, the treatment and prevention of heart attacks, arrhythmia physiology, advanced cardiac imaging, and heart failure therapeutics.
He has seen the difference that cardiac diagnostics can make to people's lives, and that's why he believes in offering hassle-free heart check-ups to anybody looking to prioritise their cardiovascular health.

Ani has extensive experience running Cardiology clinics for the NHS across the South. In addition to having full BSE accreditation in Echocardiography, he is also a GP who is passionate about pre-emptive diagnostics and cardiovascular screening.
He is currently enrolled in the NHS Clinical Entrepreneur Programme, dedicated to accelerating innovation in healthcare.
Ani believes that improving access to screening can deliver earlier diagnoses and therefore better outcomes for his patients. Furthermore, his dual expertise in Cardiology and General Practice provides a uniquely holistic perspective on the management of cardiovascular disease.

John has over 30 years' experience as a Doctor, and has run community Cardiology clinics in both Hampshire and Surrey since 2004. He holds full BSE accreditation in Echocardiography, and has a wealth of expertise managing a range of cardiac conditions, such as heart failure, valvular heart disease, and atrial fibrillation.
He currently leads a campaign deploying novel technology – a digital stethoscope – in the community to improve early detection of significant heart murmurs, and he was recognised at the HSJ Digital Awards for his efforts.
He has always been a proponent of the 'one-stop' approach to clinical care, and at every appointment he strives to provide his patients with the expertise, reassurance and guidance they need to maximise their cardiovascular health.
Dr. John de Verteuil

Heart Specialist and General Practitioner
Peter is a community Cardiology specialist and an expert in transthoracic and stress echocardiography. He trained as a GP and worked in Hampshire until he left general practice in 2018. He has been instrumental in the development of community cardiology services in the Wessex region, and is currently clinical lead for the Mid Hampshire service launched in 2016.
He has worked in the cardiology department at Southampton Hospital (UHSFT) since 2002 where he currently works in the Heart Valve Clinic and continues to work for the Southampton Community Cardiology Service which he developed and launched in 2004.
His main interests are in echocardiography, valvular heart disease and the development of community cardiology services. He is an accredited member of the British Society of Echocardiography, a member of the British Society of Cardiovascular Imaging, British Society of Heart Failure and British Heart Valve Society where he also served on council from 2020-23.

Chris is an expert in both transthoracic and stress echocardiography, and is trained in all aspects of clinical Cardiology, including the management of heart failure, atrial fibrillation, palpitations, hypertension and valvular disease. He is also an NHS GP, with decades of experience providing cardiac diagnostic services in both community and hospital settings.
He is currently Director and on the Council of the Primary Care Cardiovascular Society, and is an accredited member of the British Society of Echocardiography, British Society of Heart Failure and British Heart Valve Society. He is on the editorial board of the British Journal of Cardiology, and is former Editor in Chief of the Primary Care Cardiovascular Journal.
